Sweet lookin' Impala Tramp. Now are we talkin' telco or powerline for the ZW and Bosch laundry machine running across the property there?

And what's all this BS about bad weather down East, eh? Looks like a friggin' paradise up there and you with a cooler to hold down the temperature of the beer. You people have been lying through your teeth just to keep us out of there, haven't you?

This gets better and better, Jon. Nice lookin' lady. Now here's a terrifying thought. What if they figure out a way to contact each other?

This show and tell is killing me. Jon, your wife has lovely earrings. My God, they're nice.

San, okay, you know a few secrets, but I'm sure they won't travel east.

Dang, this place is awash in babes! Jon, you landed yourself a 'keeper' there. Dimples, even!
Looks like we all got lucky!

San, if these ladies get to talking, we're ALL in trouble.

Tramp, you skinny b*****d.
What folks can't tell is that you're scouting for staties, and about to use 'The Waterman's' technique, looking under the hood.
And that car! Look how skinny the steering wheel. And vent windows! Perfect for those blistering summer days. Believe this is the vehicle we went cruising down the coastline in? First thing in the car, I went looking for seatbelts, dumb hobo. Then Tramp had us blasting along at 120, passing semi's on the shoulder, going airborne over rises, laughing like a crazy man. I ain't been right since. How I remember it, anyway.

Pete, us skinny guys never like being called skinny. Besides, I'm not skinny everwhere.

If you just drank enough beer, you'd be skinny too.

Just jealous, is all. Skinny and otherwise.

This is a cagey bunch, Tramp. The main squeeze is up there in lights for all the world to see, but not one of them is willing to show his Berkshire or Y6a. I'll bet highrailjon has a wall full of Kohs and Company brass

that he actually operates. He ain't talkin' about it or showin' anything to anybody.

*ouch*, (shielding his eyes)...

Wow, San. That is pretty. Not in your wife's class, mind you, but wow, pretty!

That looks like a year's pay, sitting there. Love to see one in person. Jeez.

San, have you ever seen a Kohs live? Those things really are something. You just want to stare and stare at it, and you realize how far even 3rd Rail is from reproducing an accurate model. I've never seen one run.

Pete, you probably think it looks skinny. Look, I'm trying to gain weigh, it's just the damn beer; the bubbles, you know, really shed the pounds.

I dug up this half-assed poem I mentioned, about making friends. I'm going to stick it here again, not because I think it's worthy, but only for the sentiment expressed at the end.

A hobo salute

G’evenin’, mister, can I join you a spell?
I spotted your fire, across this train yard.
Been a wearyin’ day, ridin’ in on that freight,
I’m cold and I’m lonely and I’m feelin’ bone-tired.

The gusty wind thats swayin’ these track weeds
makes your fire feel especially warm,
and in this miserable dog of a world, sir
it can be friendships that keeps us from harm.

I got this large tin of beans in a swop,
for stackin’ some lady’s cordwood,
and I’ll swop with you right down the middle,
for a share of your whiskey’d feel good.

What brings you out onto this railroad?
was it something you longed for? or lost?
for me, love came once in my lifetime,
but it came at a terrible cost.

These years can make an awful hard life,
comes a time drives a man to roam,
and tonight I am missing my woman, sir,
tonight I am missing my home.

I’ll gather more sticks for this fire
then I’m in desperate need of some sleep.
If I find that you’re gone in the morning,
my memory of this sharing I'll keep.

For I’ve found, as these years pass me by,
can’t let this world make you too cavalier,
amid the pain and the hassles that life brings,
you never know where a friend will appear.

Fried hot-sausage, and ice-cold beer!

Life is sweet.
