Well, even though Darrell Waltrip couldn't talk today, he always says "tires win a race". If Harvick hadn't hit Tony, he would've won, and the next car with fresh tires put Jeff Burton in the winners' circle. A 1, 2, 3 finish for Richard Childress Racing.

The Chinese do. American Drunken Tofu is produced by introducing cultured bacteria and fungus to the drying tofu. You can soak the dry tofu in American wine if you wish.

Mitch,

I used to feel the same way. Then, twelve years ago, I had an angina attack. The doctor found that my right and left coronary arteries were 100% blocked. As I laid there watching the dye bounce back from the blockages I heard the cardiologist mumble, "How can this be? He should be dead." Then as the dye made some tiny arteries visible he shouted, "Look at that, he has grown his own bypass!!!" He told me that if he used angioplasty to open the blockages, the atrophied arteries beyond the blockage might blow out. He advised me to become a vegetarian and hope for the best. That was all I needed to learn to like tofu.

Wayne,

The first part is not sarcastic. The second part might be just a bit.

My wife says that I'm full of useless information, but I didn't know anything about tofu.

So what is tofu made from?

Jon,

For eight years I had the discipline not to fall off the wagon. Then, in 2004, I found a cardiac surgeon who was bypassing to old atrophied arteries with a high rate of success. After my CABG* I switched to the American Heart Association recommended diet. They suggest turkey as a low fat meat. So, when I saw Philippe’s menu:

Beef French Dip
Pork French Dip
Lamb French Dip
Ham French Dip
Oven Roasted Turkey French Dip

I selected the Turkey. It was delicious.

*CABG--Coronary Artery Bypass Graft. I have four.

Soy Beans. Tofu is made by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into blocks.

We don't have a history of heart disease in my family. We're more a diabetes and cancer family, although nobody currently has diabetes it goes back to my maternal grandmother, who I never knew. I'm a meat eater and don't have a cholesterol problem, but I smoke like a friggin' train, I've always been overweight, have a blood pressure of 120/78, and feel pretty good. But we're all gonna die of something. I'd like to go after a huge grilled T-bone, baked sweet potato with butter and sour cream, a large bowl of salad greens with Vidalia Onion dressing, and a 6 pack of beer. And, oh yeah, an entire Alaskan King Crab with plenty of hot butter. Definitely not Hobo fare.

PS. If you're gonna kill me, please do it right. Throw in a 2 gallon bucket of fresh scallops! More butter.

Amen.

If you listen to the media and experts and studies and pundits et.al., we'd all be grazing out on the front lawn. Nothing wrong with moderation, but I'm just not gonna let it get grim.

Hell, all I gotta live long enough for is to get this d*mn Farmall back together.
