Hobo Jungle
After a week of waiting I picked the truck up from the paint shop. I was pretty pissed to say the least. Instead of a nice 2 coat clear over a new base coat it looked like some kind of semi-gloss. The painter said something did'nt work right in the paint booth but in 3 weeks I needed to bring it back after the paint cured then he could "cut and buff" it. Anyone have a clue?

Bad prep. Bad paint chemistry. Humidity? I hope you didn't pay him. I would insist on taking it down to the metal, priming, base, and clear coats.
You didn't say, but are we talking Maaco or a custom shop? With the former, you get what you pay for. With the later, I would hold their feet in the fire.

Beer here, too, Jon. Picked up a 24 of Labatts Blue, $15.50 tax included. That's nearly $.65 a can. Tramp's been gettin' his for $.46 a can. I'm pissed! But, life is good anyway.

Mitch, we're back to a 30 pack for 15.99. Still a knockout price but I think that brings it to .53 a can. I'm glad the say "Fonk you" to the Dutch beer. It's too expensive and no longer ever fresh. Our Labatts are E16. What do you have?
I was at the VW dealer yesterday and asked them to sticker my Chevrolet. The whole place about came to stop when the lad drove her in and lifted her. Besides a slight front main seal leak, she still looks very good underneath. Always great to get under your rig and really check it out.
