Petey,

You're rolling out of Seattle on the Empire Builder. Setting in the dining car with a white table cloth.

Image

As you watch the scenery go by, they serve you, toast.

The boxcar hits a burr in the track and jolts you awake. You're a hobo.

"In the meantime, up thisaway, Fall has befallen!"

Oh man, you're killin' me.

Yes I'm down here in "flat land", and hot-as-hell" land. Too many people- every freakin' one Hispanic, too much traffic, flat, flat, flat and hotter at 9 in the morning in mid-October than the middle of the day on the hottest day of the summer up in Pennsy.

What a guy won't do for a buck.

I'm still at work- the honeymoon is over and its feeling like a real job. Haven't moved into my place yet (a few more days), but you can email me at willrothfuss@hotmail.com

Surfed back (no pun intended) to Petey's pics. Warmed the cockles of my old heart. For those of you who haven't met him, Pete is about the truest and best friend a guy could have. What a pal. I'm not ashamed to say I love him like a brother. (or is it brutha?)

Still the talent here isn't bad, even if I'm invisible to them. Well going to bed. Nice to see you guys. Adios Petey, Jon, Tramp, San, Hev et al.Image

Will,

I knew I stayed up for some reason. It's a darn fine thing to hear from you, you old 'bo, you. Gotta agree about Petey and all the hobos in here. The best of people.

As to weather, we're going into the Santa Ana's. Or, as some say, Santana's. Cold nights, hot days. Make's people crazy. I'm dealing with it by biking to work in the early morning and trundling back in the evening on the trails in Pennaquitos canyon. Jahan makes me carry a cell phone (I design them but hate using them). Thinks I am going to be done in by a coyote. I think there is more danger driving the Magnum through traffic.

Take care, dear friend, and update us.

Will, how great to hear from you though I don't envy that heat. Here's a trick to get certain persons to notice you when you go out drinking. Find a set of Ferrari keys with an obvious bob attached and toss them onto the bar (a bored expression helps) as you mount your stool. Don't even glance over at the women. No need to even dress fancy. Of course it will only work while you're in the bar.

San, I was biking at 7 this morning- sun not up. As soon as it breaks the horizon its hotter than the sun at midday in the Northeast in July. Yikes!

Tramp, I like that plan. The when you leave the bar, both drunk, go, "Aw shit, somebody stole my car again!" But be very cavalier about it, furthering the impression of having so much money that one Ferrari, more or less, is hardly worth ruining a good high. Then she takes you to her place.

Well, time to get to work.

The other night on PBS I caught a bit of an auto-biography of Andre the Giant. One thing mentioned about him was the fact that he could drink up to 100 beers a night. I'm impressed!!! :D :D

Well, I just wasted 20 minutes of BEER time for reading the Mike Wolf Worship comments over on OGRR.
I shall have at least an extra Iron City for that misstep.
Have a great weekend Bo's!
