I hope the buyer has the ability to restore it. Looks like it could need a lot more than just soldering and straightening bent items.

I t5hink a better Berk sold within the last few days for $235. That too was probably ok - easily restorable. I'll go look at my eBay for a link.

Not Lobaugh, but Carey's CroVan ought to be here as well:





I am not a big ATSF guy, but got fished in with all my Scale Craft Mike boilers. The Berk has a much bigger boiler (diameter) than the Mike, 2-10-2, or Mountain, which may be why I never tackled it. John Dill (rip) took one, cut it up the belly, and expanded it laterally along its length - his goal was one of these. Lots easier to start from scratch. If that boiler ever turns up, I would cut the domes off, and make one like Carey's. Fortunately for me, that is not likely.

But back to Lobaugh - I am guilty of at least two freelance SP steamers. Here is one - an SP Berk not based on the Lima prototype, but styled after the Harriman Mike with light CNW undertones. Still not painted.
