Thanks!

Couple of weeks in the background, but rarely more than an hour here and there. Letting the glue dry takes the most time,

Glazing the windows is also a lot of time just because I find that so tedious.

Corrugated roofing is printed paper - like the thickness of that vs. just about anything else. Same on the front tar paper. Trick to do is to run a brown or black Sharpie around the exposed edges of the paper.

Yup. Copper ridge - an associate handed me off a cigar box of 0.005" copper - perfect for ridge caps and flashing on buildings!

Most construction projects take me an inordinate amount of time, nearly all of it efficiency issues on my end. Even low-detail projects like the glitter houses seem to take me forever. I tend to work these things by completing tasks serially, not in parallel, resulting in projects that should take 2-3 days ending up taking 7-10. This is compounded by my loss of interest half-way through, lol.

A terrific result, Rufus. Looks sharp, as usual. The attention to detail is remarkable.

Paper, I would have never guess that, it looks so real. Faux corrugated roofing....I love it.

I'm learning all about that down time waiting for something.

And, at our age everything takes Inordinately (like that word) longer to do for so many reasons. Major culprit seems to be lack of physical or mental energy. If you lose interest or just don't feel like doing it, I find it's best to wait for the interest to return. I've had more than a few "do-overs" because I did something I didn't feel like doing at the time. And this is supposed to be a hobby not a job. :D

I have several kinds of paper roofing; bought the pdf files and print what I need. Particularly good are some of the tarpaper roof selections.

I'm learning all about that down time waiting for something.

Waiting for glue to dry is such that I used to have 3-5 projects running in parallel. But I've also set to limiting my time in my shop to a CD of music, maybe 2. Limit of my focus and patience....but more than 2-3 projects now complicated.

If you lose interest or just don't feel like doing it, I find it's best to wait for the interest to return.

When I lose interest it's rather bad; lasts weeks and just going into my shop is a challenge. And then it just stops....and I get back into whatever I had left interrupted on the bench. Not unlike writer's block....to which the several folders for unwritten articles on my 2nd desk can testify.

Is that corrugated roof made of paper like the other on? If so it is positively amazing how you've made it come out. Great model!

No, that's real metal - Builders-in-Scale. Several sizes used to be available in raised seam and corrugated; also in copper...

Fitted and glued into place and painted Flat Aluminum.

Little garage that got knocked out while waiting for details to arrive for other projects...

Waiting for details has gotten "entertaining"....one of the last two packets was at the local Po and then they sent it off to Scranton, Pa for a few days for some reason; other was "failed to deliver" and then "on hold by customer"....and the both got delivered. Something I shipped to a guy in Mississippi ended up in 3 different cities in Florida. I have no understanding of how USPS is improved when they can't figure out which state is which,

I don't know - what's going on in Nov. that I apparently don't know or have forgotten about?

I'm already into the next structure,

Thanks, but really slapped together testing a different assembly style for me - there's 1/16" sheet basswood under a lot of HO 2 x 16 stripwood. I have a lot of larger HO stripwood that needs to be consumed. Several smaller structures are going to help clear some of this out of my shop.

Sorry, somehow I missed your reply. Pretty amazing material and something I didn't know existed. Looks great!

It's nice stuff and I hope it becomes readily available again. I may run out of it sooner than later, :(
