Well I finally got my head out of my rump. Reread all your emails and apparently the one you said you used is from a Lionel Flyerchief GP7 board 691ENGM254 ?? I at first just went by the number that was on the picture that you sent me

Is this the one I should buy for a Williams F7. I don't know how much difference there is between a Williams F7 and F3

Thats the one I used. It doesn’t have smoke but its an EMD prime mover though I am not sure the sounds are all that accurate. The Alco FA board does not sound that different. The F3 and F7 frames should be pretty much the same. I have used the Flyerchief board in the NW2 as well as a K-Line MP15 and Beep so it should fit in the F7. You will need one board for each power unit. I think two motors is max for those boards.
