You have to remember back in those days they didn't have all the modern conveniences we have today. They had to make do with what they had. they had to improvise. Kind of like the farmers that fixed broken equipment with bailing wire.

I totally get that, but giving your kid to strangers to be delivered is mind boggling. But, we live and learn I guess.
