They do, but we have a bunch or half-brain, half-ass people in our country today. I get real tired of Hollywood or ??? remaking/retelling of classic fairy tale and children stories. Can't they come up with anything original? Have all the good movies been made? I guess this one is for all the 18 to ??? children in our world. If they grew up, this kind of sh*t wouldn't exist. :(

No, not and make enough money vs. cost of the movie.

Have all the good movies been made?

There are literally tons of books that might make a "good" movie. It's the definition of good -- will it make money vs. cost of production is the only one "they" really use. Good is also rather personal preference based. I have little doubt that we'd disagree on some or even many movies being "good".

Most I've seen in the past 20 years were crap.

BTW, I just find Pooh Bear amusing in any and all forms while living under the name "Sanders".

ROME—Retired Pope Benedict XVI, who led the Catholic Church from 2005 to 2013 before becoming the first pope in nearly 600 years to resign, died early on Saturday, the Vatican said.

The retired pope was 95 years old. A statement from Matteo Bruni, the Vatican spokesman, didn’t specify the cause of death.

Yesterday in Wall Street Journal

Barbara Walters, the trailblazing journalist who was the first woman anchor of both a morning and an evening television-news program and at one point was the highest-paid TV-news personality in the country, has died. She was 93 years old.

Died December 30, 2022 (aged 93)

Never much cared for Barbara Wawa (ala SNL), whose personality and voice/enunciation seemed (to me) ill suited for a news person/commentator.

Hoping they’re patting me in the face with a shovel long before that.
