Has President Biden
Re: Has President Biden
Going off of 2021 stats. The USA export 8.63 million barrels a day and imported 8.47 million barrels a day. Why not just keep what you have. What's the reason for exporting crude and importing crude. I would think we could save the environment from a few oil spills, ship emissions , and probably a host of other hazards.

The exported sells at current prices and imported was bought under contract at old lower prices. It's all about the money

Neil wrote:Actually the slowdown in oil production had nothing to do with Biden (or Trump). There was this little thing you Republicans are in denial about, a worldwide pandemic, that led to drastic drops in the demand for gasoline and aviation fuel. That is what led to cutbacks in production long before Biden took office. OPEC has not increased production and neither have domestic producers of fuel. With the ramp up in car and air travel, there is dramatically increased demand and no increase in production, which has led to the enormous run up in costs at the pump. Not a political issue in the least. Classic supply and demand issue. Amazing how capitalism works that way.
Won’t even matter. All the American people will remember is when Joey the Dunce was in office gas prices and crime were high, the borders were wide open and the economy tanked. The Dems will then gets waxed in the 2022 midterms followed up by another waxing in the 2024 presidential election.

Good explanation. Even proves how we are getting gouged same reason nobody in Maine eats Maine lobster. They can make more selling the to New Yorkers and import African Lobsters to eat

The administration is releasing 1 million barrels of oil per day from the strategic reserve. US production is still 1.2 million barrels per day under pre-pandemic levels. The 1 million released barrels are going to Europe. Think about that. They're selling US reserve oil at world prices now for oil that was purchased back when it was $40 a barrel, but it has to be replaced at today's world price. The Biden people want to lower gas prices by decreasing demand. In other words, walk to work, burn your car and your boat, jet ski, garden tractor or lawnmower, (we now have battery lawnmowers) and use nothing. The lessened demand will increase supply and lower the cost for the people who are never going to get rid of their limos and private jets. The other side wants to lower the cost by increasing the supply, and big oil is able to produce an additional 3 million barrels per day, but we're running at 94% capacity at the refiners, and Biden is sayin' the gas station owners are the culprits. NOT!!
If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.
Re: Has President Biden
Oklahoma crude is exported 100%, I think most to Japan. When I asked why, I was told because it is too "sweet", which was explained as good/rich/quality oil, so it costs more to refine it. Apparently Japan has better refineries.

I wouldn't be so sure, all the election laws that made it so easy for Democrats to rig the last election are still in place.
Re: Has President Biden
More than five million barrels of oil released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) have been diverted to European and Asian nations instead of U.S. refiners, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing customs data. Biden has ordered the Department of Energy to release a total of about 260 million barrels of oil stored in the SPR over the last eight months to combat record fuel prices hitting American consumers.
"The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is meant for national emergencies – not policy blunders,"
We have a total IDIOT in the White House.

Wont that fall under profiting. Oil purchased years ago at a cheap price sold today at a high export price?

That's called capitalism.
Funny how the folks crying "Save capitalism....." and "That's socialism...", etc. are the 1st in line with their hands out when money is being made available

The Biden administration unveiled details this week of the final rules surrounding the federal bailout of hundreds of union pension plans passed as part of Democrats' $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act coronavirus relief package last year, saying it will secure workers' benefits for decades to come.
ARPA's Special Financial Assistance Program injects $90 billion of taxpayer funds into the federal government's Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, which insures private-sector pensions. Prior to the passage of the purported COVID package, the PBGC was set to become insolvent in 2026.
The White House claims the plan will prevent 2 to 3 million workers from having their pension payments cut in retirement, by saving upwards of 200 private-sector union plans that had been in danger of insolvency.
Have to save those unions that contribute billions to the democrats.

Jill Biden sorry for comparing Latinos to tacos
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-62130595
Mrs Biden was addressing a conference in San Antonio on the Hispanic "Quest for Equity" when she said: "The diversity of this community, as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength".
She also mispronounced the word "bodegas" - a term for convenience stores borrowed from Spanish - as "bogedas".
The NAHJ called on Mrs Biden "to take time to better understand" Latinos.
The industry group added: "Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by various diasporas, cultures & food traditions.
"Do not reduce us to stereotypes."
