Any SP RR modelers

Postby CSX AL » Thu Oct 14, 2021 6:54 pm

Hello All. I thought I would share with everyone a new item we are making. These are concrete phone booths. I know they were used on the SP RR, others may of had them as well. SP had two versions of them. A wooden door model and a steel door version with slightly different roofs and heights of doorway thresholds. We have them now on our website. They come unpainted and the doors are separate pieces so it allows easier painting of models.

Enjoy the Day!

Hey Al,
Nice of you to drop in! I run some SP but regardless what layout couldn’t use a phone booth :D ? I hope to be at York on Friday so I’ll stop by for a look.

If I don't get roped into jury-duty on Friday, I plan to try to make a quick pass of York too. Maybe I'll see you up there, Greg.

Sorry to hear. Dealing with some of that here as well. Is someone setting up and manning your booth?

That sounds good! Look forward to it!

I figure to hit the place sometime between 0930-1000, starting in the Black/Silver halls. How will I recognize ya?

This will be my first bona-fide super-spreader event. Looking forward to it.

I look something like this  I should have my name badge on Greg Johnson. Be there around 10:30-11. Mostly in the orange hall but we usually cruise through the purple hall.

Very good.

Here's a snap of me with my daughter the school teacher at Paw Paw Tunnel a few years back. I probably don't look too different :(

The name on the badge - Paul Raith.

I'll try to head over to the Orange Hall around Noon. I got some stuff to run down for Hondo and Sarge that might be in there.

Missed ya. I must have spent too much time at the funnel-cake truck behind the Red Hall.

Likewise although I was looking for you. We only had passes for the orange hall and the purple hall. Get anything good?

Nothing exciting; a couple of prewar tinplate cars, one being a Dorfan coach this is in pretty rough shape. I’ll post some pics later this weekend. How about yourself?

Attendance and vendor/member participation looked way down, which I guess is understandable. I was looking for something for Hondo, but most of the guys I know that typically might have been able to help with that were no-shows.

TO CSX Al:
A suggestion, offer the two-pack as two of each also.
