I tell what I believe to be the truth over there.
The big problems with that forum are the forum police and management's tenacious censorship. A secondary problem is that button that says "reply with quote." I hate to scroll t hrough nested photos over and over.

That thread will make it until George or VGN starts taking potshots at the skeptics, which will probably happen tomorrow. Do you think NW Stephen gave up? He was the number one jumper.

Anyway, entertainment for we non-investors.

UN-freaking-believable.

At least that long. There was a post (on the MMW site) dated 2011 that was recently wiped out. It's been going on a loooooong time. I have ZERO interest in 2nd gen diesels, but the whole thing was so bizarre right from the start that I loosely followed things. I guess the real "beginning" date would be when deposits were first taken, and that's been quite a while. (per Bryan on OGR 6 or 7 years)

I thought a couple years back when the first builder Mr. Song was at the March meet with all the bare brass bodies, that things were on the way, but the next thing you know, Song was fired. None of it makes much sense to me.

Something ain't quite koshur. (Opinion!)

They should BOOT the idiots that copy images over and over. I think NW Stephen got the boot or he would have posted by now. The whole thing borders on lunacy.

Here are some photos sent by a friend who attended. I believe these are of the SD40-2, which makes me wonder where are the finished SD-45 models that I thought was his 1st offering.........I could be wrong. I understand the electric motor and transition gearbox are supposed to be hidden in the model of the prime mover.

Wow they sure are beautiful. What an exciting time for Erik, and to be doing this stuff, such amazing models Erik. Makes me want to do 2nd gen era!

Thanks for sharing the photos your friend took Butch.

That image TOTALLY contradicts what has been said on OGR. NONE of the posts I saw mentioned anything about ANY of those diesel bodies sitting there, and at least one of which, looks to be painted. Why isn't anything on the MMW website? Was that Indy or the last Chicago show? The games people play.

And....I agree with Erik L., they look fantastic!

No, just painted models of their Bethgon.

Regarding SD45s that were supposed to be first, it looks like the four samples we published back in 2017 are there on the same table as the gons over on the right, ATSF SD45, EL SD45-2, SP SD40T-2 and SDP45. Looks like the only progress made on that project is someone painted the EL sample shell, and the SD40s have pulled well ahead.

Anyone know anything about the Geep (at least I assume its a GP-something) on the upper table?

These photos were taken last weekend Rich. As I said before, I think there is much cause for concern by reservation holders.

This is a quote from a post on the OGR forum:

"The Beth Gons on display at the show at the show are beautiful....but they should be at $600.00 a pop! Too rich for my tatses, however.... Still, I did not see any actual locomotive models, other than the same one displayed at Chicago back in March of 2020.".

That is what I based my comment on. I had seen nothing to make me think otherwise at the time.

You can go over to OGR and read it yourself. I have NO MEANS to verify it, and had NO information to make me think otherwise at the time.

I'll ask you a question now: Why couldn't the Importer posted what he was bringing to the show on his website?

Here is Hot Water:

If he is referring to that "Model Train Journal" forum,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just my opinion but, I wouldn't participate on that screwball forum

A couple posters want in here - we need a procedure to get them on board. I hate to burden Butch . . .

Thinking about Hot - maybe we should send him to the lounge and let him duke it out. Good place for ornery guys.

I was just giving back some of what I got. If people would like to blame or be PO'd at someone, how about the guy that's doing the importing?

Why wouldn't he have put a post on his website that several models would be on display? How long would that take????

It appears that some customers receive information and some don't! That makes NO sense, and the reluctance to use his website is of the same ilk.

Doesn't really matter to me, as I am NOT a customer, and not likely to be for multiple reasons: Too old, too poor, not interested in the prototype, cranky and grumpy, but enough about my good points!

Looking at the images from out at Indy, I see one thing that I might be concerned about if I were buying one of these models. That would be the clearance between the fuel tank and the rails. Seems awfully close!
