I've only met Roger through this forum, and I second all the opinions that he was a gentleman
in the truest sense of the word. I do not believe I have ever seen a cross word in any of his posts.
He always had uplifting things to say.

Clear track and high greens, Roger!
Take care,
Wolfgang

I never met Roger other than on this forum, and of course now wish I had had the chance. Friends to all and enemies to none -- He will be missed.

Thanks, very much, Wayne, for posting that photograph. Had you been there, to have taken it?

This is very sad news. I hardly know what to say.

To Roger's family: He was very proud of you.

Roger was a stabilizing influence on the forum, encouraging and always with a kind word for others. He was universally liked and respected by the forum members.

We can honor him by keeping his example in mind when dealing with others on this forum. I think he'd like that as his legacy.

When you visit this forum you just assume the membership will all go on forever. Roger, being a more senior member (maybe the most senior) always joked about being around too long, to which we all dispelled that comment. He was an "old school" gentleman and always brought that feeling to the forum. He was always the voice of reason.

My condolences to his family. But, we are better for knowing him. May all the lights be green Roger.

Although I didn't know Roger except on the forum, he always struck me as a man with a life well lived.

This is sad news. He seemed like a good guy. He didn't really seem to get emotionally tangled too much in the fussing that occasionally happens.
