Seller wants to cover all the bases, that's for sure. ScaleCraft? Nope. Thomas? No. Varney? No "V" on builder's plate, so probably not.
Suspect field wound motor, as to why it doesn't run on 2-wire DC, but who knows.
$150 is at least $100 less than worse condition other offerings.
No visible hand reverse, but a HUGE solder glob on brush plate.
Builder sure liked to highlight brass bits, though.
Fixable.

Curious as to why the motor leads would be exposed like that.......makes one wonder how much it was messed about with recently.
