I GOT IT!!!

Image

Damn,,, :D :D :D it sure is great to end the day with my beard soaked with steam oil!

I bought the loco a week ago for my birthday present. I've been doing my damnedest to wear it out the last week. 8)

Took a little work to get it running right, but it will pull 9 cars up a persent and a half grade. My little gas engine will only pull three, and it is almost the same size.

The last week has been the most fun I've ever had, "including", in bed. :D

Looks like an old B&O grasshopper , I think . wonderful. Seems that it pulls as good as the full-sized original .

Roger, when you're 'logged-in', there should be an 'edit' button next to the 'quote' button on the far right of your post.

That's a right fine addition to the loco Jon :D

I do believe Bill Conner used the B&O grasshoppers for his inspiration.
It uses propane. They can be converted to coal with the addition of grates and a blower. The tubes are alittle small for coal because of sooting and require frequent cleaning. With the propane, you supposedly never have to clean the tubes. It seems to run very clean.

HOBO SPECIAL

Well, it's more of a spring baseball special. Pete insisted I bring out a very limited edition of prints based on the 8 pencil drawings that I created for my baseball print. The original print itself is sold out, but I still have two sets of these hand-tinted prints left. Pete owns set number 1. Included in the set are four portraits: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Christy Mathewson, and Ty Cobb. There are three stadiums: Fenway, Yankee, and Wrigley Field. The last drawing is of Ty Cobb stealing home at Fenway (his last stolen base). The images measure 11 by 14 inches and are mainly black and white with a touch of color. If anyone is interested maybe Pete or D could snap a few pics. My hobo price is 6 hundred for the set of 8 prints.

Pete, you were right. Anyone that sees a set buys it instantly. I should've done more, but then they wouldn't be as rare. I have set number 6 and 10 left.

Dang, Tramp!!! After the Virginian purchase, plus the E-4, 2 sets of streamliners on order, and having to pay in taxes this year, your offer could'nt come at a worse time for me!!!! There's always next year if they're still available. I'd love to see or post the prints!!!
Drink up, Bo's!! First round is on me.

Beers? Friday? Spring? Okay.

LOL, Mitch!! I took the day off with my son to sign for the E-4 Hudson. The first brew was at noon with pizza. You've got about 13 more bottles to chug to catch up to me. :D

Beers? Friday? Spring? Okay.

Tramp, I'll set 'em up as fast as you can knock 'em back, Bro.
