Hello Guys !

THANKS all for your replies. Yes, I do now seem to recall that had this issue once or twice but many years ago - and Bill (Owner of site) and I had email contacts and it was then fixed. I wanted to share some modeling work -- as you saw -- of another fellow overseas - and post photos I saved on my computer of his work. Well, we know what happened anyway --per my request for help here on the issue.

I posted the link to the article and photos of his modeling projects that I put on O Gauge Forum (Subways-Transit there) as a final last and only resort.

I DO have a number of FLICKR accounts (2 PRO paid accounts and 4 "freebie" accounts. One freebie account there I use SOLELY for putting photos from my computer files on so as to get FLICKR URL's for when I post those particular photos on a site that DOES NOT have a "browse your files" format (like SUB CHAT forum, for one)

I stop here at MTJ every day or so -- and read and enjoy stuff here. Anyway - I really appreciate your collective help and comments...perhaps MTJ might consider a new server -- I thought I saw something that that was being looked into.

Well, here is one of the newest of my own O Scale Layout photos --- done with a FLICKR (Pro Acct) URL link-- seems to work fine !

Joe,

Nice! The adverts posted along the platforms look great (among other things). Did you print those yourself, or are they something that's commercially available? Personally, I find images on the web, scale them down, then print them. That Wrigley's ad looks like a real gum-wrapper, lol.

I wonder what that building is on the opposite side of the road? Looks almost like a prison wall, but it has too many doors in it.

Could be a warehouse. There are some remains in Savannah that are similar near the Roundhouse Museum and Visitors Center.
The Visitors Center is an old railroad station. They are next to each other and are worth visiting.

What are the fixtures on top of the building ( by the tracks, not the prison ) ?

Not sure I understand what you are referring to, Roger.

Looks almost like a fence with barbed wire along the top of the building with the top angled out.
I thought the angling out was a modern development.

That's just what is there; apparently not a modern development.

That almost looks like Bailey bridging, but that wasn't developed by the British until the early years of WWII. Interesting photograph.

Here's a neat shot of George Schuster in the Thomas Flyer, an entrant in the 1908 NYC-to-Paris automobile race, following a streetcar line cleared of snow:

Schuster was the eventual winner, with only three cars finishing. I'm not sure of the location, but presume it's somewhere in the States. The car is preserved, currently on exhibit at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada.

It looks like it is an out-n-back, or at least two lines side by side. The overhead wires are faintly visible over each.
