From the photos, looks excellent. Didn't see any of the Zamac Rot you used to see on some of these. Frames on the cars even look good from the photos. Wasn't it Bowser who had replacement cast frames for these if they crumbled?
Can't imagine the cost. I do know 30 years ago there was a 5344K being sold around on TCA new in the box, never assembled, factory sealed with an X-ray to prove contents, but being sealed, nobody knew condition, and it was about $5K then for engine alone.

Yeah something happened with the hosting site and it's not allowing me to directly attach them here either. Seems this set does not want to be shared right now. Working on it.

Update - The more I try to fix this the more it's glitching out on me. I'm about to throw this whole post away and start over.

what photo did they not like over there? If it is the above photos. You were rather kind in your comments to them.

what have I read on copyrights? Boy, it changes all the time, i seems. For that kind of printed matter, 1956 and earlier was exempt? No?
And the owner had to renew copyrights?
And the company who published that stuff doesn't exist any more.

Nick,
A really great buy, IMHO.
Will it sit on a shelf or might it get run a little?
Whichever, you will enjoy it.
Thanks for showing it here.
And thanks to Wayne for fixing the photos.

They got some new nutcase running the place that is apparently suffering from lawsuit PTSD. I want nothing to do with such a toxic litigious culture over trains when it's something that's supposed to bring me joy.

As for the pictures I officially throw in the towel here, the forum is not letting me directly upload anything and I cannot find any image hosting website that will not watermark them into oblivion. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I use imgur for my photos. Free and easy to figure out. By ogr logic posting a photo of almost anything would get them sued. Better not post a photo of a Natty Boh reefer. Problem is it is not worth the time to argue with them. Hard to believe that set was a $100 bucks in 1938. average price of a automobile was $750.

It depends.
