Strange this would pop up less than two years after I had a nose and sides specially cast up for that roof and trucks combo I had saved for a quarter century.

Yes, I shall bid more than it is worth. The B-unit is early CLW, and fits in my collection of PA/PB Diesels of doorstop vintage. Thanks for the tip!

Trainz also has a pair of PA doorstops for around $450. A lot of bucks for such primitive models. Glad I have more than my share!

By the way, Trainz offered a pair of CLW PAs this week for 4 1/4 or so. One was cast brass with a chain drive mech, the other was an etched-side version with earlier sand cast trucks. I made them a n offer for the cast brass unit; they turned me down cold. Then some doorstop collector coughed up their "buy it now" price, and they are gone.

Good thing - I have way too many PAs, including an Overland that I shall sell next year to an SPF.

This pair is already bid beyond its antique value - including shipping it is now $200. In spite of my lust for such things, I am out.

I figure tops for the Erie-built is $75; I know a dummy CLW B is in that range. I probably would have topped out at $150 plus shipping.

Good thing - I have way too many trains, and start my 80th year in an hour and fifteen minutes.

I said I was out - but I figured "what's $25 bucks, in the global scheme of things? Three margaritas? So I ran it up past $75. If a forumite is the anxious bidder with a $200 max, I apologize - but it is good for Rick, I guess. I am still tempted - but I will now passively watch the last five hours.

Adams FT A+B bronze shells and a box of All-Nation drives.
Lorell Joiner gave the shells to me.
As heavy as these are..and with more than enough drives to have 8 axles powered, it will put my Wentzco on Lionel chassis with 4 axles of Magnetraction to shame.
Probably loan them out to folks to settle ballast on new railroads.

Yes. I do have an Overland PA to sell. Hoping it goes for more than that.

Rick gave me permission to post some photos. I will put them on my OGR "Erie-built" thread. This is a piece of O Scale history, even if bordering on Wentzco crudeness.
