Could be a site in any of the small towns along the Monongahela and Youghiogheny rivers in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, once the steel mills left. And once the subsequent running-amuck of a particular "ilk" got into full-gear, I was urged never to return, not even to visit family graves in various area cemeteries, which have become specialty areas for the ilk to do their worst, preying upon Seniors and women who have come to pray and mourn. And that's a fact. And you know damwell of whom I speak.

Had one in Savannah like that. The city decided to renovate it and spent several million dollars with no visible results over a 20 year period.
The Savannah College of Art and Design got involved and had it done and open @ 5 years. It can be done.

SCAD, for all the criticism, get stuff done.

The biggest criticism of SCAD is that they don't pay taxes on the many buildings that they own.
Most of those buildings would be empty hulks or torn down and be empty lots if not for SCAD.

Well, it's a trade off - empty hulks, torn down, empty lots...............or buildings in use by people that are tax payers that are supporting other businesses and housing in the area.

In a whole different direction...
Just learned this yesterday, seeing the answer to this question in print :
How old was Moses when he died?

120

Well, somehow I didn't learn that little nugget from watching Carleton Heston prance around a theatrical Red Sea , in a movie I enjoyed as a boy.

Seen in print: Acts7: 23
40yrs as a member of Egypt's royal family.
40yrs as a shepherd in exile with the Israelites.
40yrs as a leader of a nation of freed slaves.

(I believe I got that chronology correct.).
P.s. Wait until I tell you about Noah!!!!!!!!!

Acts 7:23 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
23 “When he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his relatives, the Israelites.

Moses did not spend 40 years (from age 40 to age 80) visiting his relatives, the Israelites.

Now, for the rest of the story:

Moses was in exile for 40 years as a shepherd but not with the Israelites. At age 40, while visiting his relatives, what he saw enraged him and he killed an Egyptian. After that he fled to Midian to escape the death penalty for killing an Egptian.

Exodus 2:11-12, 15 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
11 One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to his people and saw their forced labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his kinsfolk. 12 He looked this way and that, and seeing no one he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.

15 When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh. He settled in the land of Midian, and sat down by a well.

After 40 years of exile in Midian:

Exodus 4:19 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
19 The Lord said to Moses in Midian, “Go back to Egypt; for all those who were seeking your life are dead.”

Moses was 80 years old at this time. He was to spend his final 40 years leading the Israelites to the Promised Land.

About the Midianites. They were not Israelites. In fact the Israelites and Midianites did not get along at all.

The Midianites were primarily nomadic tent dwellers. But in Moses’ day they are also reported as residing in cities.
The Midianites manifested hostility toward the Israelites. They cooperated with the Moabites in hiring the prophet Balaam to curse Israel. When this failed, the Midianites and Moabites, at Balaam’s advice, cunningly used their women to induce thousands of Israelite males to become involved in sexual immorality and idolatry in connection with Baal of Peor. Thereafter the Israelites, in obedience to divine command, took vengeance upon Midian. The Midianite cities and walled camps in the area were consigned to the fire. Thousands of domestic animals and many gold articles were taken as spoils. With the exception of the virgins, all, including the five kings of Midian—Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba—were put to death.

Re: Kepchup

Let’s be honest – the English language is pretty difficult. There are words that are spelled the same but have different meanings, there are words that have silent letters in them, and there are even words that are downright impossible to spell. Spelling is like math, some people have a knack for it and some don't.

I am a treble speller myself.

Sometimes misspelling is meant to be humorous.

Ketchup, catsup: "Both words are derived from the Chinese ke-tsiap, a pickled fish sauce. It made its way to Malaysia where it became kechap and ketjap in Indonesia. Catsup and katchup are acceptable spellings used interchangeably with ketchup, however, ketchup is the way it is popularly used today."
