Thank you for posting this, Chris. That news conference is hard to watch. The sheriff is barely able to contain his grief at the loss of one of his men -- "his family", as he says again and again. Heartbreaking. Gives you some perspective on those who choose dangerous professions in the name of serving the public.

Unfortunately, there seem to be many people that think there is nothing wrong with the death of a policeman or law enforcement officer.
Yes, now and then, one of them may stray from the ideals that have been set for them but when that happens we, the general public, seldom
hears all of the information. IMO the media distort these events just as they do political ones.
