To jim and all:

My hotmail takes known contacts like Jim and puts them in junk mail. At the same time, hotmail allows American Express @ to get in my regular inbox. It wants me to open an attachment and verify my account (probably with my SS #).

I note that I am not selling these mechanisms - just making a good faith attemp to find who they belong to. One can buy an entire locomotive for what machining charges were ten years ago, not counting interest (no, we never charge interest or handling charges).

Back to hotmail - they have made so many wonderful changes that it is now just a giant pain. I got a Gmail account, but like it even less. Even our cable TV has endured changes making it less user friendly and harder to install. What used to take an AT&T technician a half hour now takes six visits of several hours each, and eight solid hours on the telephone with English speaking customer service reps and supervisors.

we've been earthstink for 19-20 years. Works okay, better than most for filtering spam off to spam folders.
Have gmail and mail.com, several others.
But you're correct, sometimes the provider's algorithms get crossways and send know good to spam.

But spam rarely gets to inbox.
