Ed Campbell

Just got news that Ed passed away last Saturday after a battle with pneumonia. He's had some other health issues during the past few years and this round was just too much for his 82 year old body. For those who don't the name, Ed Campbell was a major collector of Union Pacific brass locos, rolling stock and structures. He and Terry Paige were UP collecting nuts and had multiples of most items manufactured by OMI and any other importer offering UP items. He shared Tom Marsh's passion for the UP, like many of us.

RIP Ed, and may the signals be green.

Ed was a voice of sanity.

Someone might catch my memory up now that Terry Paige was mentioned. Terry and another gent were regulars at Harry Robert's in Delaware. I for the life of me cannot remember the other fellow's name, although Terry, he, and I got together quite often when they visited Harry. I also have lost track of Terry.

Meanwhile, our best to Ed's family and friends.

Terry is heavy into the large riding gauge now. He's getting close on a one of a kind UP 8500 HP Big Blow. He went into "G" after selling off his O scale in the early 2000's and then got bit by the big locos maybe 8-10 years ago.

Terry had a hobby business called "Goodrich Hobbies" back in the 90's with a fellow names Dick. Dick might be the person you are remembering Sarge. I know Terry and Harry were pretty good friends.

You jog some little grey cells, though now I want to say the cells tell me the guy's name was Dave though a last name still escapes me (old age!)

Will do Sarge. Could easily be Dave.....I just think it started with "D", but that could be wrong too. Yeah, it's definitely getting harder to connect all the dots.......except when it doesn't count.
