But what if the Flyover folks are traveling from Tennessee to begin with?

Dolly Parton has a show in Branson Mo. The Dixie Stampede have seen the show 4 or 5 times. they keep changing it so it is not the same every time. It's a dinner show. Great food and a great show.

Regarding "people control:"
R. Kelley. Is there anybody here who feels sorry for him, especially considering the latest eleven charges?

Damned straight. Although we try to pluck off highly qualified athletes for The Ohio State University.

Maybe this should come under the heading, Lack of people control....

Everest cleanup crews remove over 24,000 pounds of garbage, recover four bodies, officials say
https://www.foxnews.com/world/everest-c ... icials-say

Danduraj Ghimire, an official with the Nepali Tourism Department, said that cleaning crews spent weeks collecting food wrappings, cans, bottles and empty oxygen cylinders from two separate campsites on the world’s highest mountain.

In all, 24,200 pounds of garbage was removed, with some of the waste being flown to Kathmandu and handed to recyclers. Officials said that the 8,850-foot summit remains littered although they could not estimate how much was left.

Like I have been saying, before climate change takes effect humans will have trashed the planet. Can you imagine all the trash that is produced in NYC. Where does it all go. Through most of its history until the mid-1900s, New York’s primary method for disposing of its waste was simply to dump it into the ocean. At one point, as much as 80% of New York’s garbage ended up out at sea.

As the largest city in the world’s most wasteful country, New York generates more than 14 million tonnes of trash each year.

And we are making more humans and trash every day.

In So. California, we used to burn our trash. I remember seeing old brick incinerators, at other people's homes.

Regarding landfill, there's a part of San Francisco that's built on the wood from the countless sailing ships abandoned during the gold rush.

In Los Angeles A total ban on incinerators was in place by October 1, 1957.

We had one in Hawthorne when I went to high school. but we stopped using it. There was one at the house that the wife and I bought in Hawthorne in 63. I remember tearing it apart and disposing of it.

Seems sort of double ended.
You can't burn the trash because it will pollute the air so it gets dumped at sea or buried where it will pollute everything.
Best thing to do is get rid of people.

Over population is becoming a big problem.

How “overtourism” strains top destination...
Cities and attractions across the globe are experiencing severe overcrowding and other stresses brought on by too many tourists. According to the United Nations’ World Tourism Organization, there were around 70 million international tourist arrivals back in 1960. Today, that number has hit more than 1.4 billion. Erin Florio, travel news director for Conde Nast Traveler, joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss the impact of all that tourist traffic.
