Good bye Flickr

Postby webenda » Tue Apr 24, 2018 12:26 pm

April, 2018: SmugMug, Inc., purchased Flickr.

And then begged for more paid subscriptions on Flickr.

I liked the ease of use and format of Flickr enough to help them out by becoming a Pro Subscriber. As a result-it is September 2022 and Flickr still survives.

Judging by the image (or the lack thereof, and the dates of the posts, does this mean the future might not be so bright Flickr wise? Just curious.

I've felt very similar to that at many places where I had to wait! LOL

Wayne, I don't know if this photo is coming up on your device, but all I'm getting is the code. I notice that your [img] operator has a { in front, instead of a [. When I switched this out, the photo came up. As you know, just a GIGO gaffe can do that.

With regards to your previous post,

These aren't the droids you're looking for. appears to be a standard Flickr message indicating an incorrect or invalid image address.
