One might think so,

Microsft will not contact you if you have a virus or malware on your computer. They could care less.

But they will contact you if you have an unlicensed copy of their OS on your computer.

Interesting.
Microsoft, the pirates of silicone valley concerned you have pirated from them.

Well, here's a twist from the Evil Ones. I received a call today on the landline phone, saying they were Microsoft, and that they were the "Refund Department." I told them to donate any alleged "refund" to the poor of India, to help them get actual flush-toilets. I hung up.

Then, I pressed *69 to get their phone number, and it was given to me. Usually such a number announces it is "No longer a working number" and is useless, but this time, some guy with a thick India-like accent (my opinion  ) replied mumble-mimble-mimble, and when I suggested he clear his mouth and throat and speak clearly, he said he was Microsoft Refund Department." I then made several sexually-colorful suggestions to him, and hung -up.

Bogus, right?

ABOUT TIME..........

"I would classify it as federally funded drug dealing": Dozens arrested in massive opioid bust
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/doctors-bu ... 019-04-17/

Just after sunrise in Cookeville, Tennessee, federal, state and local agents prepared for the largest opioid takedown of medical providers in the country. Dozens of people were arrested in seven states after prescribing 32 million pills.

"If you overprescribe, if you steal from a taxpayer, you're going to go to jail," said Special Agent Derrick Jackson.

Wednesday's operation stretched across states among the hardest hit in the opioid crisis. In all, they indicted 60 individuals including doctors, nurses and pharmacists. In one case, a Tennessee doctor known as "the rock doc" who piloted a reality TV show about his clinic, allegedly prescribed dangerous combinations of opioids in exchange for sexual favors.

Agent Jackson drove CBS News through Clay County, and Cookeville, a small town with fewer than 8,000 residents. But it's also home to three pharmacies on the same block. Two of them prescribed more than 1 and a half million opioid pills.

Dozens indicted Wednesday are also charged with billing Medicare and Medicaid for unnecessary prescriptions.

The pharmacists who worked at those pharmacies was among those indicted. Agents said over three years, one pharmacy prescribed enough opioids per day for every man woman and child in Clay County.

Same thing that was going on over in WVa before Congress took away the DEA's teeth to go after the pharma company that was behind it all.

We worry about drugs coming in for outside the country to point at and make press with, but we have a ridiculous domestic problem that's killing people.

Those that aren't using it. Make everybody use it and keep raising the taxes as they did with tobacco products. Tobacco use went down so taxwe on it brought in lrss money so they must find something else to use for taxes.
