I'm one of the few who has a TV antenna on my roof and no cable. Picture quality is outstanding with new TV's but the reason is not to pay for cable.
As I drive around sometimes I notice TV antennas, there is not many.

I'm seriously considering that. I regularly watch maybe maybe three of the vast number of stations my cable company offers and am tired of being shafted by them.
