They can introduce it but it will probably never make to the floor for a vote.

What you can't seem to comprehend Mr. Arrogance, is the point that if no one ever tries to do it, it will d*mn sure NEVER happen. By the way, what is the LIFT time of the constitution?

What you don't understand is that the simple statement of fact is not arrogance.

Go read the above stats on odds of even getting such out of committee let alone to the floor. It's worth pursuing if you can get adequate base to make a realistic attempt. Everything else is just posturing for voters and grandstanding.

You go get elected and try it - go put that into the queue every day and see where it gets you..... Don Quixote had better luck defeating windmills.

The Founders defined their new government that way...
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” – John Adams

There is nothing new about this proposal. It's been tried 4 times before in the last 25 years and has failed to make it out of committee each time with each successive attempt getting fewer and fewer votes.

Thank you. The harsh reality is reflected in those attempts and numbers.

on the first day of Democratic control of the House, another Democrat, Rep. Brad Sherman, filed a resolution of impeachment. Sherman's resolution was later co-sponsored by another colleague, Democratic Rep. Al Green.

Now Nancy Pelosi has to decide to go with it or not.

I rather doubt many of us Democrats are really gung-ho for impeachment. The object of impeachment is removal from office, and there are nowhere near the votes in the Republican-controlled Senate for conviction. That could change at any moment, I suppose, depending on what the Don of the Dead does. Like, declaring a state of emergency.

The basic fact is regardless of all your nay saying, the HARSH reality is if it is NOT introduced, it is an absolute certainty that nothing will will happen. Better to try and fail than to do nothing. (opinion of course)

I think I heard that got to try thing in a Lyle Lovett song.

Too long of tooth and too light of wallet, not to mention the fact that I couldn't begin to afford to live in/around DC. As best I recall, Senor Quixote was a child of Cervantes imagination. thus I put him in the so what file.

I retract my arrogant comment....not very nice of me!

As I stated, if it's not proposed it sure as H*ll won't happen.

What's your real problem? Why so vociferous? Does it piss you off when someone has an opposing opinion?
You can sit back with a smug look on your face and giggle when it fails.
