It is the government's job to protect it's people from local thugs and street gangs. Unfortunately, the police are highly vulnerable to corruption, so there is a disconnect between well-meaning administrations, and the situation on the street. Don't blame ordinary, law-abiding people for just trying to stay alive, and fleeing a deadly situation they have no control over.

I have no idea what the situation really is in Guatemala, El Salvador and the other places people are running from. Perhaps, we can help fix the problems there, and deal with our immigration problem from the demand side.

Roy you can look this up. We have been giving these countries millions of dollars to help them out. Apparently throwing money at the problem doesn't work. Do you have any suggestions beside using our military to fix the problem.

There are areas in Southern Calif where the street gangs from these countries are just as bad. Around San Diego there are areas where the police won't go.

No, I had to get re-certified yearly. I can't begin to even see him bending over......

The company trained all of us supervisor to do it in the event an employee needed it before EMS could get there. I have never had an occasion anywhere that it was needed.
