I got the toy train itch a few weeks ago and I finally fulfilled a childhood dream of mine: a set of postwar Lionel Santa Fe F3s with the 2500-series aluminum passenger cars. I was outbid at the last minute for a set of 2343s, but I found a great pair of 2353s.
The Super O track was picked this afternoon at a garage sale, of all places. I'm super excited to have some trains again, and now that I have a house with basement I'm hoping to build a train layout in the near future.

Christopher,
If you built a scene like the one from Gastonia on a layout some would say it is too toy like.
Again the real thing shows us that almost anything we can think up can be found on the real thing.

I support thread drift.
