Only the cooler kids in da hood had those great metal glasses, not I.

Cooler was not us; for us those were probably handed down or 2nd hand....

They used to sweat when they were filled with a cold drink. Anything that sweats when it is cold is cool.

Aluminum glasses of that type were used by my grandmother for drinking beer. She died in 1981. My oldest daughter took them as a keepsake and she says they still smell like beer.

I remember we had those colorful anodized aluminum tumblers in the bar area, but we never used them. Don't ask me why.

I had taken delivery of a new Honda motorcycle that day, and just couldn't get off it, riding and riding endlessly around and in Manhattan, all day, and into the night. So that day I remember well, on my motorcycle, and not in a field somewhere getting hi.

I had a friend that was a DJ and he got a lot of free tickets to various stuff. ELP and J. Geils were one of those. The best was Yes.....sounded every bit as good live as they did recorded. I shudder to think how LOOOOOOG ago that was!

The is nothing tastes better (or colder) than drinking a Coke w/ice in one of those aluminum tumblers! Something about the drink/water ratio added to the cold factor!!! I still have our family's and I still drink out of one from time to time.

Saw the Relayer tour twice and then again when they headlined at JFK in Philly not long before they condemned the place - 3 bands opened for a very long day; one was Framptom with close to 100k there waiting for Yes.

Last time I saw Crimson in DC was musicianship beyond comprehension and they continue on still.....maybe there will be a 2019 tour?
