President Trump hit his Turnberry golf course on Saturday, the morning after a protesting paraglider flew over the Scottish hotel. Greenpeace said the protester carried a banner reading: “Trump: Well Below Par” on Friday night to protest his environmental and immigration policies.

Oh the IRONY. In golf if you are "WELL BELOW PAR" you are the winner.

Maybe it won't take as long for you to learn as it did me but some discussions/arguments will never be won because the rules are set and often changed
by some of the participants and therefore never can have a conclusion. Maybe you can handle it in a different way than I did because all I got was

Roger,I am not trying to win any argument. Like I said in another post, this is just for fun and entertainment value. No frustrations on my part. Have you ever seen me say I'm going to take my marbles and go home ?? I made a rule for myself years ago that if I chose to be involved in a conversation that I have to be able to take everything that comes flying at me or don't get involved and I don't respond by calling anyone names.

Years ago I was on a couple of computer forums. They had areas like Club Car Lounge they called them Lifestyle Lounge. If you chose to enter you better have what they called a flame suit.

The old AOL Lionel train forum was the same way. Got called every name in the book. This was back during the Lionel/MTH wars.

"Well" under par would put a golfer in a very elite class of duffers. If a course is called a Par 3 Course, that means the average score is 3 strokes over the average of very good golfers. 3 under would very good; 5 under would be phenomenal, would it not?

There is of course the meaning of the phrase as it was being used as opposed to skewing to something else unrelated.

Since Trump was there to play golf they tried to tie their protest sign into that. However it can be ambiguous. Nothing like having a protest sign backfire up your a$$.

The fact that you don't acknowledge the existence of golf, does NOT change the fact that a below par score is a good thing!
