I could not agree more.

Another consideration is that someone with common sense would not waste their time taking such a stupid test.

Depends on the leader. Who led us here? :D

Question: IS IT LEGAL FOR A MAN IN CALIFORNIA TO MARRY HIS
WIDOW'S SISTER?

It would be quite a feat considering the idea that he has a WIDOW means he is deceased.

If an act is impossible, why would there be a law against it?

If he married the sister first. Then divorced her. Married the other sister then died.

If we look on p.91, we could say that, but....uh... you certainly picked up the baton and went with it. So, we have two distinguished leaders who know how to stimulate conversation (and manage to do so without aggravating anybody else with deliberate negativity and contrariness.) Nice.

It would be quite a feat considering the idea that he has a WIDOW means he is deceased.

Marriage is two way. If the widow's sister marries her deceased brother-in-law, the deceased has also married his widow's sister.
Since the deceased cannot say, "I do," the other party to the marriage must show that there was intent to marry prior to death.
There are fewer problems in a marriage when one of them is dead.

I'm glad we straightened that out. However, I think I am not going to go tell my wife the results of our musings.

Sounds like one for the courts and estate lawyers.....would the divorcee be considered a widow? I would think only the second would be considered a widow, but there is probably some precedent somewhere!
