Gun Control + and -'s

No company would want the liability of saying you’re safe. If you shoot up a mall it will bite them in the arse

How many such posts get made and are remotely credible?
People post all sorts of weird things on social media. The "credible" posts get lost in the noise.
Who should be monitoring such stuff?
This is where it gets scary.
Does the actual manpower to follow up on such even really exist?
AI all the way, I suppose.

Exactly my point - signal to a lot of noise

Very much so; very Orwellian very quickly

And who controls the AI and then back to what I was asking - still need manpower to act upon what is deemed to be real.....and then is this drifting off into Thoughtcrime?

Look at present day Britain to see our future..without vigorous intervention.
BTW-one can now buy polymer bullets, so as not to pollute Gaia with nasty ol' lead. Friend of mine who's tried them says they feed and shoot great, do more damage to bodies, and disintegrate upon hitting something solid.

I'm ok with deeper vetting on the background checks. I'd even be ok with a 10 working day hold on the purchase 'til the background check is complete. Other than that, the only gun control I'm in favor of is a steady two hand hold, concentrate on the front sight, and squeeze, don't jerk, the trigger.
If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.

Yep. And to quote a former sniper when asked what he felt when shooting someone, he answered "Recoil."Mitch wrote:I'm ok with deeper vetting on the background checks. TSA confiscated nearly 4,000 guns at airport checkpoints in 2017. They have over 60 thousands people to do the job.
When was the last time an airplane was hijacked ?? 17 years ago ?
Unless those of you that are calling for more gun control are also wanting the 2nd amendment eliminated and the over 300 million guns that are in private hands confiscated you are going to have to do more than ad more gun laws to keep the guns out of the schools.
Teenage suicide in the United States remains comparatively high in the 15 to 24 age group with 5,079 suicides in this age range in 2014, making it the second leading cause of death for those aged 15 to 24. By comparison, suicide is the 11th leading cause of death for all those age 10 and over, with 33,289 suicides for all US citizens in 2006.
So explain to me what laws that you would make that will keep guns out of the schools ????? I don't see any laws that we don't already have that are going to make any difference.
This country is full of idiots and more are being born every day.

Re: Gun Control + and -'s
Philadelphia city schools have metal detectors. If students want protection and safety. Then that is what they need. Mass school shooting are a lilly white suburban America problem. Why? When you have your house and 2 cats in the yard. Life don't seem so hard. My kid can't be a shooter i have a corvette. My wife drives a Range Rover. We even have a house cleaner. (Now i could see that illegal lady's doca son shooting somebody) Nope it's kids from good schools doing this. Screw the fruitcake mothers that say " my kid can't go through a metal detector. This is not prison. He's here to learn."
Now i know these wont stop kids from sitting in the parking lot with a gun.

The second amendment:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
What the framers had in mind was that every citizen had a right to keep and bear Arms in order to defend the country from England, France, Spain or any person attempting to install themselves as King, Emperor or Dictator. The use of the word infringed implies that there was no limit on that right. In the 1780s that right would have included a 32 gun frigate.

Cops: Little Caesars worker shoots, kills man in clown mask who attacked him
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cops-littl ... acked-him/
HOLLY HILL, Fla. -- A worker at a northeast Florida Little Ceasars pizza shop shot and killed a man in a clown mask who attacked him, police tell CBS affiliate WKMG. According to the Holly Hill Police Department, Heriberto Feliciano, 28, had just walked out after closing the Holly Hill store Saturday night when a suspect wearing a clown mask attacked him.
The suspect hit Feliciano with a wooden post until the post broke and tried to stab him with scissors, according to a police report.
Authorities said Feliciano was able to reach his concealed firearm and shot the suspect several times. The suspect was pronounced dead. A medical examiner will conduct an autopsy and release his identity.
Holly Hill Police Chief Stephen Aldrich told the station it appears the shooting was justified.

Very obvious statement. There is no way to stop these events that will be satisfactory to all.
I think this because we are so politically correct at this time.
Please don't try to figure out where I stand on these issues because I am not sure myself.

Do we still have militias? If we do, would they be of any value, in fighting China, Russia or Andorra?

The Russians and Chinese are in collusion with the democrats to disarm this country. That way they won't have to deal with any militias when they invade.

Yes, they are called the National Guard, every state has them, and they are what the second amendment was originally written to authorize.
