because we met our quota limit again! Tried to post a photo and it would not post. I've deleted all my old photos so I can't delete any more.

Not worth the effort. Every time this happens, the logistics of keeping the board from overloading are discussed.
Folks delete, purge their own stuff...and a couple of folks basically say "oh, goodie! There is room, let me fill it up!"

So, delete away. One or two of our esteemed members who won't utilize an off site photo hosting service will fill it up within days.

Something else I found on my control panel was a way to manage my attachments. Found photos and attachments I had not deleted (thought I did) going back to 2014. All gone now.

If it keeps them occupied and feeling that they are helping, then I do not see the problem. For all anyone knows, it may help. Why denigrate their desire to try to be helpful?

Those of us that use off site hosting services chose to pay for that and not contribute to this recurring problem.

I have use Flickr for years and years. Once you figure out what link to use, its fine. And since the PB fiasco, Flickr probably won't go down that particular rabbit hole.
