not Ambrose's but Joe Fiore's. Myself and a few others bought Tony's estate and he did not have UP items. Joe did, pretty sure the 2 UP items were painted in my shop many years ago.
the Southern engines are some of the latest Kleinschmidt engines.

As far as Tony not having UP, that wasn't always the case. I redid an OMI M10000 for him, just for one example.

They are marketers that believe toy trains and scale are to be considered the same thing, a commodity. The teenage girls who post and pack this shit don't know; how could they? It could just as easily be coins or jewelry or cars or furniture to the whole organisation.

That 3 unit turbine is bringing some big bucks. It had more issues than original crummy drive that a KES drive would take of. Due to the tank drive, the "B" unit has a round cover under the fuel tank to hide the drive, not prototypical at all. Also, these were built during the early Korean learning curve and can have a lot of cold solder joints and fall off parts. A few months back a last run (1993) model only brought mid $3K's on EB. Much superior model IMHO.

A friend wanted help selling one of the early 3-units. I took a look at it and flat out refused. Somebody else went in and JB Welded all the bulkheads back in and sold that miserable mess for a grand! Paint was attractive, but the model was a total loss.

You need to know when it was imported. Early Overland was not soldered well at all. And early mechanisms were designed for the mantel.

The rear coupler is missing and it also appears that the place to mount it is gone.... I would assume it came unsoldered.

Nowhere near "all", but it does appear that this is what they do when they are unable to ascribe a definite source - no name, box, label ='s "custom".
