No, no, no! Can't answer that question. It takes 12 hours 'cause that's what the shop wants to rip you off for. Takes me about 4 hours for heater core or evaporator, and that includes full warm up and purging the air out of the cooling system, and/or vacuuming and recharging the AC. (You know the whole dash is coming out)? Dealership cores are made in Mexico by Valeo. Heater cores, evaporator cores, condensers, and radiators, all used to be Valeo. Could be Bangladesh now. :|

So are the parts mentioned here replacement parts, original parts or both?
Where are those parts from in a new vehicle? Does it make a difference where the company originated? U.S., Japan, Germany, etc.?

I was told . “The part I need is one size fits many now. With a little modification” meaning you need to bend an inlet and outlet pipe. When these ham fisted guys bend them the crack so joints on the core. A month later your heater is leaking again.
Another problem is with a 20 year old car. All the plastic tabs are brittle and snap off. That’s probably why this guy said 12 hours. He wants no part of it. This is the second shop to quote 10 or more hours

Question for ROBERT ?

In some previous post you made mention that you or your wife sold items on Facebook ?

I think that's great if you can make some money off of Facebook, So how does it work ? Do you pay as a advertiser ? Or is this just you saying you have items for sale ? How does the word get around ?

I am just curious as to how it works.

I have a good friend where I live that has a small Antique/flea market that is part of her husbands auto shop, but she sells most of her stuff on ETSY. She does not use ebay.

Etsy is an e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items and supplies, as well as unique factory-manufactured items.
This Lionel Crane turned into a lamp is an example.

She has her own site for artwork No fees. She also uses an FB page for local mommies selling kids stuff. No fees. My wife has had a few of her FB pages removed. FB caught on to her having 3 sites to sell artwork. They deleted 2. I don't know who pays to use FB. Maybe Coca cola pays to have an email sent to thirsty people. How does Craigs list make money. I think me are starting to find out how these sites make money. They are large marketing research firms disguised as chat rooms.

Robert.
Thanks for the answer, I was wondering how it worked.

Last year I was trying to find a couple of guys from my high school days. In doing a google search they were both listed as being on facebook. Accessing the facebook it wouldn't let me go any further unless I signed up so I signed up but I don't use it. So I get phone calls and emails from friends and relatives asking why I won't respond to be their friend on facebook.

The first thing I noticed was all the advertising I was getting in my email and of course from facebook.

I have used Craigslist to buy items but not to sell. I was looking on it for a good used car for my oldest grandson and his wife. They have private sellers and commercial sellers so I figure the commercial sellers are paying the bills.

I noticed that Craigslist also had personal section. I looked at that one day and could not believe what I was seeing. Men looking for women, women looking for men and queers looking for other queers. Blatant ads for prostitution. They apparently shut it down the other day. From what I have been reading there was sex trafficking going on and the government is after any websites that condone it. They shut one down the other day called backpage.

Isn't the internet wonderful.

HOW CLEVER......

For at least a year, the biggest page on Facebook purporting to be part of the Black Lives Matter movement was a scam with ties to a middle-aged white man in Australia, a review of the page and associated accounts and websites conducted by CNN shows.

The page, titled simply "Black Lives Matter," had almost 700,000 followers on Facebook, more than twice as many as the official Black Lives Matter page. It was tied to online fundraisers that brought in at least $100,000 that supposedly went to Black Lives Matter causes in the U.S. At least some of the money, however, was transferred to Australian bank accounts, CNN has learned.

Reminds me of the old ad in the newspaper that stated, "Send $1 to......." w/o stating why or what for, and people would send in their $1.

Facebook now has groups, there is a group for about anything. Facebook has replaced forums with slot cars and people list and sell slot cars all the time in these groups.
