Here we have a Red Caboose 10,000 gallon tank car built up from a kit:

Weathered (opinion) is a bit of an understatement, and "very good" is a tad optimistic.

Do they really expect to get $118.49 for a kit you could buy new for 40 bucks? Not to mention it looks like it has been dropped from a step ladder.

Isn't this the same guy who sells AN boxcars for $87.82, when all the rest around his offerings are between $19 and $25? He must be selling; otherwise why go to all that effort.

Maybe folks figure that higher price = higher quality.

What I want to know is when Zbirbik sells that $14 Lorenzen Lobaugh box. He has been trying for over two years now.

Actually, what's on top of the trucks is just raw material that I would take for the price of the trucks.....except I already managed to score a partial kit with a good tank in it for a project I have planned, so zero need here for this now.

Five years ago I was on a kick to get together a train of Conoco Tank cars and came upon this very ad, same price, same everything. You would think that eBay would broom out crap like this once in a while............

Probably too labor intensive. Not sure how they charge for listings now as I haven't sold since they instituted Paypal, but if they did listing fees based on item price like they did originally, that would stop some of it. I requested (to no avail) an option to block certain sellers, which would help a bit, but they never acted or even responded. Add to that, if some fool is dumb enough to buy the thing Feebay makes money.

It is a virtual certainty that once you purchase ANYTHING, it will go on sale at a different vendor's for a huge discount!
