Interesting point. :D And that will probably bring out his true-self in the process.
Also, I noticed the "concerned citizen," ever at the ready to be unhelpful, in the black sweatshirt, did nothing to intervene but kept grinning and laughing about it, as another upstanding citizen. I feel so sorry for the victim - he'll never be the same, in his spirit, again.

Yeah, our world is so full of chicken-sh*t's anymore. Being out at 2:30AM pretty much eliminates having a decent person around who'd stand up for you. Not sure what the handicapped young was doing out since he didn't seem to buy anything. I'm sure he will be skeptical about shopping at that time of night. The video would have been complete had some bystander knocked the hitter punk on his *ss.

Yeahbut then the black-shirted amused guy might have stepped in to further gang-up on the victim, since bullies excite each other.

There was a story that all 3 were in a altercation at a local club. When the punks lawyer could not verify that he resigned. Then when a news reporter went to interview the punks parents. They were getting arrested for drug dealing.

This seems a common element to many stories I hear regarding assaults and robberies - people out walking through areas at very odd times of the day (night...2-5 am....) that are clearly very poor decisions.

I'm so old that I can remember being able to walk around any time of day or night. Perhaps not everywhere. But then, this was before democrap governance rendered almost every place a no-go zone.

For me and my friends, as high school students in the early 60's, I can clearly recall being able to walk everywhere, even through neighborhoods not our normal haunts, and even at night, in and among the several small cities along the Monongahela, Allegheny, and Youghiogheny rivers, in the greater Pittsburgh area. We walked everywhere.

However, nowadays, I have been cautioned, again recently, on the occasion of another planned reunion of classmates, to not even drive through any of those places I used to walk. I've been warned about stopping at Stop signs and waiting at traffic lights, that carjacking would be inevitable. I don't go home anymore, not even to the graveyards to care for my family's graves, having been informed of graveyards being favorite sites for the local predators to rob prey, taking cars and phones and purses/wallets, leaving victims as stranded as one could be.

With the steel mills gone, I cannot discern how people make a living in that whole area. I'm very, very sorry about that, but what can any one person do? The answer for myself is to stay away, far, far away.

Murph. Summer of '68, just after my graduation, 3 friends and I split into pairs and hitchhiked from western Pa., to N. Wildwood, N.J. I was 17 and had $17 on me, which I got by selling copper and radiators out of junked cars. We didn't have more than $100 among the 4 of us. We met up on the off ramp of (what the hell was it? the Blackhorse Pike?), got a cheap room in a big house 3 blocks from the boardwalk, drank beer and had us a time for a week, then split up again, and hitched back home. If ya tried that today, you might be read about in the papers. (Bodies found on roadside)!

Good story, Mitch . Do you happen to recall the longest you waited for a ride when you hitch-hiked?

During that approx same period, I hitched from Springfield, Ohio to Pittsburgh and back, for numerous semester breaks.
