I think the USA needs to tell China, if it comes to that point, you will either take care of NK or we will and that will start the last world war. China and Russia don't want nuclear war, I think they are just letting NK toy with us to see where it goes. No doubt, but once faced with possible armageddon, they might possibly rethink their position. I don't know what really goes on at that level, but can't imagine anyone risking any kind of war, except NK; I think they're on a high and really believe their own BS. But, a pip-squeak, with a bully behind him, is still formidable to deal with, unless the bully crumbles or pulls away. Think "Christmas Story".

This is just my opinion. We buy way too much stuff from China. That is what supports their military. The American people need to pull back form buying from China.

Other than aircraft carriers they have as many advanced ships as we do and they are flexing their muscles. They have missiles that can take out our carriers.

Does an effective response by the USA have to be a guaranteed end-of-all-humanity? Roy, I think you may have something here. But something about it seems dubious (yet, of course, not as bad as what I suggested in my reply to UP148.)
