Did you ever catch the actual FIRST sequel to King Kong? Called "Son of Kong"? A bit more original (opinion) than all the other remakes that followed "King Kong". No mention of "Mrs. Kong" to date.

Knew of it, but never have had the opportunity to see it.

Murph,

I don't have a clue about South Park as I don't watch it. I know someone who does and he's a bit warped.

I remember the first few times I walked into the room while my young teens were watching South Park. It looked to be one of the most ridiculous things I ever saw on TV and I quickly dismissed it as garbage, mostly based on the quality of the animation. At some point I spent just enough time within earshot to catch what was being said, without being distracted by the visuals. Amazing! The two men responsible for this are both genius and demented. Over time they've lampooned or satirized spot-on every aspect of our society, with nothing sacred and no holds barred. Then there was the famous case where Scientology fell within their sights. That was too much for the late musician Isaac Hayes, who voiced a popular character on the show. He was fine with satirizing every thing and everyone else, but not his excuse for a religion. So they poked fun at and killed off his character! Love it!

I have tried to watch "South Park" several times, as I have been surfing channels looking for something to watch that would hold me , but have rarely lasted for more than five minutes. However, on one occasion, when they had a Jesus-like character carrying a machine gun , I knew something wild was afoot. I mean, who thinks of that ?! Apparently, they do. So I was wondering what you guys thought about the show.

Or is it ongoing and we're merely bystanders and participants?

"Lincoln" (movie by Speilberg, 2012).
Clearly , he was a figure singular in all of American history.

The last scene, in particular , in the rooming house across the street from Ford Theater, was particularly moving and well realized, restrained and intimate. I felt like I was present in the room.

I just saw (yesterday) A River Runs Through It , for the second time. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one, if you please, guys.

I thought the film was well done. I like movies about the early part of the 1900s. Another one with similarities is Legends of the Fall. Both of these films have Brad Pitt in them. Not that I am a Brad Pitt fan but The River is what put him on the path to fame,

I can relate to the fly fishing because that is something I liked to do in the high Sierras in California. I still have my split bamboo fly rod and equipment from my younger years.

Murph. since you like the outdoors I can imagine that the scenery was very interesting to you.

So, would the movie have been more interesting if it had bears in it.

What are your thoughts about the movie. What did you like or not like about it ??
