Never question a Drunk!
Re: Never question a Drunk!
Once I built a railroad, I made it run,
Made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad, now it's done --
Brother, can you spare a dime?

Re: Never question a Drunk!
From what you and Chuck have posted, Rufus, I can see I don't even have a passing-knowledge or experience with the Monty Python group. I must have been busy running around NYC, as a young denizen, when they were in their heyday.
And yes, Chuck, Robin Williams and Jonathan Winters remain two of my favorites, too. Those two I had plenty of exposure to, thankfully. Happily. I enjoyed hearing Steve Allan laugh when something that appeared to be impromptu happened.
Thanks for that link, Chuck.

Re: Never question a Drunk!
Robin Williams is to me as Red Skelton is to some of you,
That's OK. Keeps things interesting.

Re: Never question a Drunk!
A question for the Python fans in the group: Do you have the same fondness for John Cleese in Fawlty Towers? Was fortunate enough to have both Monty Python and Fawlty Towers available on public TV back in the 70's. Sunday night was Monty Python's Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers, and the Tom Baker Dr. Who episodes - all invaluable in the proper indoctrination of teenage children.
And before Rufus stops using the Saint Durham Credo as his signature line, I must confess that as I age, I am more in tune with the corollary philosophy from the same source:" Some days you win, some days you lose, some days it rains".

That's a pretty good line up! Add in Red Dwarf and the evening is close to complete!

We could toss in "The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy" and know that the answer to this whole mess is 42!

Re: Never question a Drunk!
A group of Kentucky 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders and their 2 female teachers went on a field trip to Churchill Downs to see the horses and learn about the Kentucky Derby. When it came time for a bathroom break one woman took the girls and the other the boys. She waited a while outside the men's room and finally one of the boys came out and said the urinals were too high for them. Reluctantly she went inside and lifted and unzipped each boy so he could go. She noticed that one guy was very well endowed so to avoid him realizing she was staring she said, "You must be a 4th grader." He replied, "No ma'am, I'm riding Silver Bullet in the sixth race."

The Sheer Nightgown
A husband walks into Victoria's Secret to purchase a sheer
negligee for his wife. He is shown several possibilities
that range from $250 to $500 in price -- the sheerer, the
higher the price. Naturally, he opts for the sheerest item,
pays the $500, and takes it home. He presents it to his wife
and asks her to go upstairs, put it on, and model it for
him.
Upstairs the wife thinks (she's no dummy), 'I have an idea.
It's so sheer that it might as well be nothing. I
won't put it on, but I'll do the modeling naked,
return it tomorrow, and keep the $500 refund for
myself.'
She appears naked on the balcony and strikes a
pose.
The husband says, 'Good Grief! You'd think for $500,
they'd at least iron it!'
He never heard the shot.
Funeral on Thursday at Noon
Closed coffin.

No. If I was going for gorgeous I would have gone to Victorias ( I am still trying to find out her) Secret.
Besides, you got the one I really wanted.

I stand corrected.
