If you ate enough of those to have a real impact, you'd probably either be at the ER from GI distress or you'd simply explode....

I figured that. Fortunately, I do have some self-restraint when it comes to baked goods , these days , in my post-bye-bye-gall-bladder days. :o ( A half of a Danish is still in its box , after a whole day of my menacing it.) :shock:

I'll play hard-to-get and eat 1/2 the apricot Danish lurking in the box next to it.

My question re: cats is this (and I think I've asked this before):

(1) If you drop a piece of pizza over white carpet it will always land face-down;
(2) if you drop a kitten from four or five feet off the floor it will always land on its feet;
So, if you duct-tape a piece of pizza to the back of a kitten, then drop it over white carpet, what will happen?

This makes the whole debate over the existence of anti-matter look trivial...

Your wife smacks you upside the hard, is what happens; that carpet is ruined either way.

Why do banks change names every four months? My bank changed last month for about the 5 time. As the new sign is going up one of the tellers tells my wife " In may the name will change again" They already know who bought the branch that bought the branch. Can i have the sign contract?
I spend entirely too many hours a day tying my shoes

I've only ever had that happen once when Capitol One bought out my local bank. Was fine until they closed the local branch, but that did not happen for several years. Ok, next branch is not a problem; 2 mile further next to the grocery store I was heading to anyway.

Had to go inside a few months back -- no tellers, no services other than assistance with on-line banking. Last time I was there getting something changed with my account on-line, 2 customers came in and walked back out - Capitol One is losing its customers that actually want to deal with humans and need a full service bank. Nearest one of those is ~20 miles away. I'll be closing all my accounts there during this year and moving them to a bank that actually provides real service.

I had Capital One internet only. They did pay more interest but when it dropped down to nothing I figured why have my money where you have to depend on a electronic gizmo to access it.

Internet only? So, what do you do when you need something that can't be done by electronic means? I used to have to get documents notarized...

In any case, I've moved some accounts to TD. Let's see, Sunday hours, evening hours, greet me by name, free coin counting (some banks charge now), and there's even bathrooms in the lobby...... I think the only negative has been that the parking lot is small and parking is tight/full.

Wife-reaction can be removed from the results in this experiment...not easily, but possible.

Live dangerously and get a snapping turtle; go for the gusto and then there's no waste --> you can make soup later.

If I get a new cat, or two new cats , what do you think of these names:
For one kitty: Oingle-boingle, or
for two cats: Zoonyattah and Moondattah? Eh? Huh?

Or are they just too lame-brained? :mrgreen:

Murph, You've been snorting too much old vinyl dust. Rufus already gave you the Oingo Boingo link and Zenyatta Mondatta is an old "Police" album:

I knew I'd find wisdom if I came to you guys. I can't always be sure and am not always able to footnote where and when something seeped into my noggin of experience.
P.S. My last cat, all white w/ blue eyes, which I loved, first was named Noel because I found her - rather, she found me - on Christmas Eve. Then, as we entered our second decade together, her name morphed to Bitchy Kitty, which I tried not to make a habit of calling out loud out the deck door to get her to come in after she had gone on her daily sojourn. She died of old age.
