Jim Henson and he actually started in the mid-50's........ Many of the Muppet characters have been around a lot longer than most folks realize.

Yes. I think maybe 1955.
Now I have no idea why I think that.

For some obscure, likely loopy reason, your conversation here, Rufus and Roger, has reminded me of a cartoon character I used to love - Daffy Duck . What I liked about him was that in the midst of being chased, he'd turn right around and kiss the villain on the mouth, then call out ,"Woohoowoohoo" then speed off.i liked the goofy disrespect of that.

Hmmmm. Hope I'm not the villain.
Hmmmm again. Daffy Duck.Hmmmmm.
Now that I have thunk on this, I think I
have always sort of played the straight
man for Rufus. Why stop now?.

Ok, I'm guessing that Mall Cop 2 is more to your liking then?

Dumb and Dumber.
O Brother Where Art Thou.
The Jerk.

Beloved wife won't let me play them when she's around (which is most of the time) and won't let me smoke in the house either :(

"Signs."
If you're not frightened by sentiment and can take a bit of science fiction with it, this movie has one heck of a realistic looking alien, sparingly and strategically presented, and the M. Night Shyamalan atmosphere he does so well . IMHO

Herzog "The Zek" (from the 1st Jack Reacher). They've been putting a few of Herzog's documentaries up on Netflix lately. Watched one the other night about Iraq burning the oil fields in Kuwait.

I don't know why, but I've always had a thing for dubbed movies, especially when the sound is either ahead or behind the movement of their lips

Jeremiah Johnson was a good movie too.

Cannery Row - Nick Nolte and Debra Winger

Started watching the TV show 12 O'clock High last night on XTV (Roku). The 1st episode I noticed a very young Bruce Dern was the bombardier. My dad (9th air force, England, France) and myself used to watch that every week.
