Dennis, as I know it, man can walk on the thing, but he can't make it rise.

Women do that. Over and over and over again.

That old piece of cheese is but a sliver here; sets in an hour or so. Drove home tonight on the coast with a view to the soutwest and had a striking view. Winter is usually good for viewing planets on the elliptic (the plane subtended by the path of the sun, moon, and planets). That our solar bodies all appear to lie in such a plane is one solution to the classical n-body problem.

A $100 dead president to the first of you that can write the Lagrangian for planetary motion over there on Gomer's chalk board where we keep score for darts.

Daisy, please tell me this isn't your home.

The backseat must get alot of action if it is air conditioned.

*scribble*:

Consider a single planet with mass m and position vector r. The applied force, F, can be expressed as the gradient of a scalar potential energy function V(r, t): mathbf{F} = - nabla V.
Such a force is independent of third- or higher-order derivatives of r, so Newton's second law forms a set of 3 second-order ordinary differential equations. Therefore, the motion of the planet can be completely described by 6 independent variables, or degrees of freedom. An obvious set of variables is { rj, r′j | j = 1, 2, 3}, the Cartesian components of r and their time derivatives, at a given instant of time (ie. position (x,y,z) and velocity (vx,vy,vz ) )....

Oh sh*t, I ran out of room.

Almost, Petey, so I'm keepin' the C-note.

The general n-body problem can be stated in the following way.

For each body i, with mass mi, let ci(t) be its trajectory in 3-dimensional space, where the parameter t is interpreted as time. Then the acceleration c''(t) of each mass mi satisfies by the law of gravity:
Image

The solutions of this system of differential equations give the positions as a function of time.

The force on each mass mi is

Fi = ci''(t)mi

But tell you what. I'm laying the C-note on the bar for Gomer and everybody drinks until it's gone.

Heya, Fat Boy Barrett! Put this on your Nambla forum and delete it!

Gawd I love Saturday Nights.

The mass of the *** is proportional to the torque of the dork.

Damn, they had some fine graffitti at UCLA. Sounds like the same people used the stalls at your school.

Wake up, Hobos. Coffee's done. I got bacon sizzlin in the cast iron skillet on the open fire. I'll slice some taters in when it's done. Anybody got any eggs?

I think she means she doesn't accept bids over email. Something weird there. No bids, I noticed.

How the heck do you auction something on Ebay and then not sell it? I thought Ebay took a cut of the final bid which seems as though it would be pretty hefty.

I'm pretty sure Gomer's does'nt have room for a big screen TV to watch football on, so lets make sure we leave another beer keg out for Tramp so we have some type of amusement!! :D

Ok, I get it. She does'nt accept offers for her auctions means people are emailing her trying to offer her a sum for everything. She's declining it saying it's for sale on Ebay only. So it's a bonafide auction. I guess it just goes to show the diversity of our hobby. Postwar collecting can get pretty serious!!!!
