70 new Amtrak locomotives are being built by Seimens a German company in Sacramento Calif. They will be used in the northeast corridor.
31 mlliion rode Amtrak in 2012 generating 2.02 billion. Amtrak will pay back a 406 million Federal loan for the locomotives in 25 years.
685 people arrested for DUI in LA county over the 4 day weekend.
Oregon is in the top 7 best states for controlling litter.

I'm hoping I'm not overstepping my bounds in saying he's been off-line due to the expense of network service where he lives. I've spoken with him within the last fortnight and he's doing fine, he is well, and quite happy living the simple rural life. I'm happy to pass your kind thoughts along.
