That's ok, Murph! I've had "Charlie Big Potato" running in the background in my head for about a week now.

Ain't she just the cutest?

Ever have one of those "AHA" moments?

Johnny Dyer, born December 7, 1938, Rolling Fork, Mississippi, showed up in Los Angeles, California in January 1958, where he and George "Harmonica" Smith played the blues clubs together. Then sometime in the 1960's Johnny Dyer just vanished.

The singer about which Rufus so affectionately says, "Ain't she just the cutest?" is Deborah Anne Dyer (aka Skin) born 3 August 1967, Brixton, London.

...Aha! Now I know what Johnny was up to during that time (maybe.)

Johnny returned in the 1980's, I even met him here in Tucson at Club Congress. He was playing with L.A. Holmes and a local Bass Man. If I had known about Skin at the time I would have asked him if they were related.

Remember, Murph, 60 is the new 40. So, you are definitely not an old fart. :D

BTW, for whatever reasons unknown to me, sound and style identity, I do happen to like that band and Skin. I have all of their CDs and one of her solo CDs.

Her stage presence reminds me of James Osterberg,

Maybe it feels like 40 after you get a nap,

My wife never really learned about naps.I take a nap in the afternoon and stayv up late. She doesn't nap and goes to bed early.

Hmmm. That does have its good points.

I wonder if this genetically linked given the frequency that I have heard this "arrangement"? The other variation is then that the wife is up from 1-3 am......

I've been given to taking naps since attending college, indulging in them at around 4pm each day, after classes. My naps don't need to be long, either; sometimes 20 min. is enough, and I awaken totally refreshed and energized, to this day.
