San! What a fine thing to see you walk in from that far far horizon.
Hev and Patty. Consider yourselves six-packed from Down East. Cheers!

If you agree with the Progressives, it's freedom of speech. If you disagree, it's hate speech. There are no alternatives.
Re: Hobo Jungle
Hi gents,
I'm also back after a long absence--not as long as San though. I hope you're gonna stick around for a spell. Perhaps, Tramp will spin one of his yarns. How 'bout it, Tramp?
Oh and Mitch--my back still bothers me from that 'barrow ride.

Welcome back to camp, Dennis!!!!! I'll see if I can't find that key that fits Gomer's padlock!
I hid it under a stone down by the creek. I was just a tad tipsy when I hid it, though.
Any chance you could share a shot of the new roundhouse project? Please!!!!!

Don't mind if I do, Wayne. Pass me your cup and I'll pour you a little snort.
And Dirt, I think will have to get ol' Gomer to open up the place.

Re: Hobo Jungle
It's nice to hear many old familiar tin-cups rattling on the rocks again (said the relative newcomer), including Tramp's (How is Daisy?) which has been strangely quiet since Christmas or so. Glad to see Dennis back again as well, and will be happy to make San's acquaintance.
Jon, I think you left the key to Gomers in the tree you were swinging from last, bellowing something about "everyone will think to look under a rock!"
I do hope everyone's absence has been due to enjoyable journeys taken.
I'll add my sincere, "Happy Anniversary" to Hev!

A favorite poem by Robert Frost:
Robert Frost (1874–1963). Mountain Interval. 1920.
1. The Road Not Taken
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Re: Hobo Jungle
Welcome back, Dennis!
Was never a fan of Frost, so I'll substitute in one from Yeats that's been percolating about the neurons of late.
THE SECOND COMING
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand;
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Did you know that if you put your ear up to a stranger’s leg you can hear them say, “What the F’k are you doing?”
