Thanks Jon. I can't imagine needing to use a scope on a piece like that, I mean its not a long range weapon, its a trench sweeper isn't it? Theory being whatever is in front of you wont be there afterwards! Just wave in general direction and blast - sounds like my ideal weapon. Another good point strikes me that you could load one tube with buckshot and one with solid slugs in case some bugger is lurking either in the middle distance or skulking behind a car for cover.

I want one. I havent seen a weapon yet that comes so close to being the ideal all purpose closing argument.

Mike, For the most part buckshot is the standard load but some occasions call for a sabot or slug that can be placed pretty accurately with a close quarters battle (CQB) optic.

Kel-tec's KSG appears to have a similar design with the South African Neostead shotgun but better engineering and materials make it far superior.

Well, the Remington 870 is a fairly good all-around shotgun, barrels are easily interchanged for almost anything you want to do, be it upland birds, home defense, sabot slugs for large game (deer) sporting clays, about as close to an all-purpose firearm as you can get. I have 3 of 'em here, and aside from one issue with a "tight" chamber that didn't want to eject the spent casing, all are great guns.

Biggest thing is, practicing with your chosen arm. Good training and follow-up practice are far more important that all the tacticool crap in my book.
