Re: Hobo Jungle
If that was a "real cowboy" this must be a "real cowgirl", looks like she could really ride and pour a hell of a beer at the same time.

Did I hit a nerve there Pilgrim?

Come on Wayne you know the difference between a cow & bull
and that candygram bomb was for one of the Johnson's.

Bill,
I have met many people who do not know the difference. On guy, from Illinois, assured me that that thing hanging from the back of the bull was its udder. How is it that you, from Bartlett IL, are so hard to bull s***?
Oh, and since you are going to be that way, you might want to know that I took the photo of the cowboy throwing the bull at the Tucson Rodeo this year. It is not photo shopped. I just modified the description a little. Actually the cowboy had just fallen off but not let go the rope. When the bull jumped again, it pulled the cowboy back onto his feet. The cowboy got his hand lose and ran away. The bull went after the clowns instead of the cowboy.
Roger,
Thank you for the complement. It is the camera (Kodak DX6490) that does it. I sit in the bleachers on the opposite side from the gates, set the lens to 380 mm fl (35 mm equivalent), program mode to sports. and capture mode to burst (6 photos @ 3 fps.) The quality surprises me because I cannot hold a camera very steady. (A tripod is not practical in crowded bleachers.)

Wayne it's hard to get things past me. I always say "You can't bullshit a bullshitter"
The last rodeo I was at was back in 74. So it's been some time
Great photo of the bull & cowboy but the photo's of the flowers I've seen sweet!
So you don't have a steady hand. Purchase a monopod I have one.
Have you ever been to Rocky Point?
enjoy your weekend

My wife and I went down there once in the 70's.

Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point)
She did not like it
I have considered a monopod for crowded areas but not the rodeo. In my imagination I would have to slide my butt on the seat to pan the action.

Or, if those pesky ground hogs get into the barn, you might use this for close-in combat:
