After Tut passes out from too much Gold, Tramp and Ma Superior loot him, and hijack Bin Melvin's CB&Q (Camel Butt & Quirky) setting out across the desert!

The big Lima Berk look GREAT, Jon. Has it had power to the wheels yet, or is it still just 'on display' for the moment. Regardless, there is no doubt that you'd get out of the way of that front end blasting down the main toward you. Congrats! BY the way, that big Q Hudson in your last post is KILLER, too - wow.

3rd Rail is supposed to be making that, San. I hope they get it right. I've always liked that Hudson.

I remember years ago a black comedian - maybe Eddie Murphy or Richard Pryor - did this monologue about Katherine Hepburn and Jimmy Stewart. Very blue, but I could never look at a picture of her without hearing a quivering "Listen to me, Jimmy, you BLANKITY-BLANK!"

You'd think Jon would be around. I know he'll be gone tomorrow for a few days. The women are quiet too. But it's March.

Hey, if you had a new Lima Berk, would you be sittin' around the fire with us bums...hahaha. Hey, I won that card lot I mentioned last night - it's a linen streamliner view of the Central of Ga.'s Nancy Hanks, plus some others. I missed this card three or four times in the past, but got serious this time.

Bruce Cockburn Lyrics
Here comes the helicopter -- second time today
Everybody scatters and hopes it goes away
How many kids they've murdered only God can say
If I had a rocket launcher...I'd make somebody pay

I don't believe in guarded borders and I don't believe in hate
I don't believe in generals or their stinking torture states
And when I talk with the survivors of things too sickening to relate
If I had a rocket launcher...I would retaliate

On the Rio Lacantun, one hundred thousand wait
To fall down from starvation -- or some less humane fate
Cry for guatemala, with a corpse in every gate
If I had a rocket launcher...I would not hesitate

I want to raise every voice -- at least I've got to try
Every time I think about it water rises to my eyes.
Situation desperate, echoes of the victims cry
If I had a rocket launcher...Some son of a bitch would die

More Bruce Cockburn from his album, "Stealing Fire".
Well worth the money, imho.

Battered buses jammed up to the roof
Dust and diesel the prevailing themes
Farmer sleeping on the truck in front
Feet trailing over like he's trolling for dreams
Smiling girl directing traffic flow
.45 strapped over cotton print dress
Marimba-brown and graceful limbs
Give me a moment of loneliness

Dust and diesel
Rise like incense from the road
Smoke of offering
For the revolution morning

Headlights pick out fallen sack of corn
One lone tarantula standing guard
We pull up and stop and she ambles off
Discretion much the better part of cars
Rodrigo the government driver jumps out
He's got chickens who can use the feed
We sweep the asphalt on our hands and knees
Fill up his trunk with dusty yellow seeds

Dust and diesel
Rise like incense from the road
Smoke of offering
For the revolution morning

Guitars and rifles in blue moonlight
Soldiers stretched out on sparkling grass
Engine broke down -- they took us in
now we make music for the time to pass
Tired men and women raise their voice to the night
Hope the fragile bloom they've grown will last
Pride and passion and love and fear
Burning hearts burning boats of the past

Dust and diesel
Rise like incense from the road
Smoke of offering
For the revolution morning

Jon, thanks for the songs. I know those and have always liked (respected) them. How are things with the new Berk?

Amalie, well done with the auction. I'm trying very hard NOT to become a card collector.

Tramp, I hav'nt had a chance to get back out there! I'll be in the woods starting tomarrow, so I had the wife's birthday party tonight. Her birthday is Saturday. 41 years old and I think she still actually loves me!!! I'm a lucky fella, indeed. :D

Hey, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her from the Jungle.

I finally made it here after another day of slavery. It's so hard to stay inside and work when the weather is sunny and 77 degrees, but I was forced to. The Walter Mitty fantasies were raging. After nine hours straight with no break, I imagined my boss, slathered in chicken guts, dangling from one ankle over a pool of hungry crocs. And another scenario with a pitt bull ripping his balls off. Ahhhh! Thankfully, they get one more day out of me before the weekend. And they wonder why people go postal. For those of you fortunate enough to work for yourselves, thank your lucky stars. You won't have to worry about watching your backs.

Man, Jackie, I don't want you to get tanked at me! I walked away from my last good-paying real gig (magazine editor) because I just got sick of the political BS in the office. I've freelanced since the mid 1980s part time, but have been full time at it since about 1998, minus 18 months in the aformentioned spot. I get offers to take other jobs on pretty often, but I always tell them "I can't be bought, but I can be rented."

Jon, if you haven't left yet, Happy WIFE'S Birthday - you're a smart man, 'cause we all know that when the wife ain't happy, WE AIN'T HAPPY.
